How resveratrol uses Mother Nature to OUTFOX FATHER TIME!
Subjects tested live up to 60% longer with “MORE ACTIVE, BETTER LIVES”
Human clinical trials with resveratrol will necessarily take many more decades, because humans live so long. But today studies show that resveratrol switches on a special gene called Sir2, which regulates aging.
Here’s a handy timeline of 73 years of anti-aging research:
- 1935: Scientists find that when animals are forced to eat an ultra-low calorie diet they live 30 to 50 percent longer. Better still, these additional years are amazingly healthy ones. For decades, no one can explain why, until…
- 1993: Dr. David Sinclair of Harvard Medical School and Dr. Leonard Guarente of MIT discover the age-regulating gene, Sir2. Amazingly, near-identical copies of this gene exist in all animals, including humans. Using this gene, they make yeast cells live 30% longer. They also discover that calorie-restricted diets extend life by activating this same special gene.
- November 2003: Dr. Sinclair announces his most staggering discovery. The Sir2 gene can also be switched on by a compound in red wine called resveratrol. When fed to mice, the resveratrol-takers live 30% longer, with a much higher quality of life. Another team shows that mice fed resveratrol not only live longer, but have “muscles like Lance Armstrong’s.” They can run twice as far without getting tired.
- 2003-2006: Researchers show that resveratrol can make worms and flies live 30% longer — and it makes fish live 60% longer. In fact, it produces similar effects on every animal they test.
- June 4, 2008: Quoted in the International Herald Tribune, a team of scientists at the University of Wisconsin states that “red wine contains other resveratrol-like compounds that may also be beneficial.” They believe these compounds could multiply the benefits of resveratrol, when all are taken together.
- April, 2009: GNLD announces a new product launch — TRE' — which contains both resveratrol and these other red wine compounds, along with green tea, acai berry, agave cactus, and GNLD's proprietary blend of deep, dark, antioxidant-rich berries. The result? A delicious combination of ingredients that are recognized for their ability to promote health, improve mental agility, and maximize healthy lifespan.
